Denver Trip (Mar 24th?)
25 Feb 2008 - Hawaii Blows, Aidan Grows
Ok, so I've been taking after Robbie and only updating annually. I've been busy. What with all that forced labor in Hawaii and all. Yeah, I spent 3-weeks in Hawaii. Yeah, it was beautiful. However, I never ever want to live there. The traffic was insane, the people were not friendly and some were actually insane, it rained nearly ever day I was there and the blatant prejudice was shocking. Yes, great place to visit but never to live.
Aidan is getting very tall. We measured him at 4' 8" the other day. He's going to be a tall dark and handsome guy. He can't go anywhere without some girl chasing after him. Am I going to have to hold a shotgun and interview all the girls he brings home?
Connie has embraced the inevitable; she bought me Rock Band for the PS3. Funny thing is, I don't have a PS3 yet but as Robbie says, life is so much better with one. I'm annoyed they discontinued the one that was backward compatible with my PS2. Of course now that the Blue-Ray war is over, I'm having a hard time finding a PS3. I miss my BetaMax
Spent an afternoon with the Generals Friday. I think I destroyed a Colonel's career within in the span of two sentences. Now that's some power! I'm frightened at the ease of it.
Haven't really been drawing much. Took some pics of Hawaii but they are boring. Really been stepping up at work lately so I guess that's part of the reason. I get pretty stressed so when I come home I vedge. You think being in Hawaii would be like a vacation but it wasn't. My Grandma isn't doing so well and is in a nursing home. I can see the inevitable there too. I have been having the hardest time picking up the phone to call. Don't know why. Just don't want to think about it because that means I have to face that I'm old.
Maybe if I get a PS3 I'll feel better.
We're at dinner. Broccoli was involved. Aidan asks what it looks like. I reply, a tree or some kind of sick bush.
Aidan exclaims,
"I LOVE BUSH!"
I reply, "That's my boy!"
Connie laughed for so many reasons I can't discuss.
