NEWS, CURRENT EVENTS, OTHER THOUGHTS

18 Mar 2008 - Bachelor Aidan

The new Bachelor show started last night. Connie watched it as Aidan and I played. Of course we couldn't help but comment on the show. Aidan was talking and I swore I heard them say the first bimbo was to arrive soon. I thought, "Hey, finally they are telling it like it is!" Alas no, they said limo.

The show progresses and we both look up from our clay creations and comment on the lovely women. I have a thing for the long dark haired ones. Aidan kept saying he liked the blonde ones. I asked him, "You like blonde girls don't you?" He replied, "Yes, I like blondes, it's true, so true!" Remember this 14 years from now when he goes on his first "date." I think we will be having a "talk" soon about girls and what not. He's growing up so fast. Katie even taught him how to sign his name cursive! Check it out. His handwriting is not bad. I guess this means he won't be a doctor. I'm just amazed he's cursive writing at 6 years old.

There's something about that show that I find obscene. It must be a wonderful feeling to be rejected on national TV. Everyone is beautiful and rich. To me it says that if you're not rich and beautiful you don't deserve love. On the flip side, what kind of horrible personality flaw do the rich and beautiful on these shows have that they are single? Whatever, Aidan and I have modeling clay to play with. That's far more important.

As we made alligators and things, I told him about the elaborate clay projects I would create when I was a kid. I told him that my mom used to say, "If you put as much effort into your school work as you do these clay projects you'd be a straight A student." I wish I'd paid attention but I didn't. Now I told the story as if I did. Hey, he doesn't need to know his dad is flawed just yet. If I'm lucky, he won't make the same mistakes. ;-)

I started a new sketchbook. It's blue. It's a Kelly Blue Book! LOL. This is the 2nd drawing, the 1st being to hideous to show.

I was in Hawaii. People suck but the waves are nice. Tried to capture one in this drawing. Click, enjoy.

I haven't been that frequent on the updates lately. If you want to know why, perhaps this is one of the reasons.

My darling kitten Neko. She enjoys her computer time with daddy. I think it has something to do with the mouse.

It's also the Squirrel entry pic. Enjoy.
