NEWS, CURRENT EVENTS, OTHER THOUGHTS

24 Mar 2008 - Off We Go!

I'm about to start my last run of trips. I leave tomorrow morning for Denver. My 44th inspection. Joy. Then it's followed closely by Korea, Ohio, England, Germany and finally Japan all in rapid succession. Some people would envy the travel but I am frankly tired of it. Without Connie or Aidan, I really don't let myself enjoy the places I go. I think of them as reconnaissance trips for when I do take them with me; someday.

The Denver trip is going to be the worse in my opinion. The inspection is already going to be difficult and filled with politics and I've been there four times now. I've done all I want to do in Denver. So I'm brining my sketchbook and extra pens. I have so many drawings in my head that have yet to get out. I also have a commissioned drawing I've yet to get right so I need to work on that too.

Today was Easter. Happy Easter by the way. Aidan, Bella and Wendy were all out in Arnold's back yard going crazy. It was funny when we "released the hounds" and they went wildly into the yard searching for the eggs we hid. They were so excited eggs dropped out of their baskets as they ran to find more. And as always, the cascarones were in abundance; 17 dozen I believe. Oh the confetti carnage poor Arnold has to clean up this year. Usually I have to do it. I'm so happy they have a nicer backyard. Of course I didn't bring my camera this year. There were some awesome shots of Aidan smashing eggs on Wendy's head at the same time she smashed some on Aidan's. That'll teach me.

Had Robbie and his sons over for Rock Band the other night. That game, pardon my pun, rocks. I got the wireless router to work but when I tested it I couldn't get a decent signal. I think the thing is old and broken down. I'll buy a new one so I can get on-line and rock out remotely not to mention get new songs. What's really fun is watching Aidan go to town with the guitar. He's getting good. He even finishes songs! That's my boy.

I started a new sketchbook. It's blue. It's a Kelly Blue Book! LOL. This is the 2nd drawing, the 1st being to hideous to show.

I was in Hawaii. People suck but the waves are nice. Tried to capture one in this drawing. Click, enjoy.

I haven't been that frequent on the updates lately. If you want to know why, perhaps this is one of the reasons.

My darling kitten Neko. She enjoys her computer time with daddy. I think it has something to do with the mouse.

It's also the Squirrel entry pic. Enjoy.
