I'm a slave to this website sometimes. I know this and I resist it. But after a few weeks it screams at me to update it and I dutifully comply. I've stayed in the military too long.

I've been reading a book called "Snow Crash" and am pretty sure Second Life was completely based on that book. There was a line in the book that I really enjoy. It describes what I do. I "condense facts from the vapors of nuance." I've gotten very good at it too. Wonder how much it's worth on the outside world.

Speaking of outside world, man oh man if feels like the apocalypse is coming soon doesn't it? I hope I'm ready. In the mean time, I'll be rearranging the chairs on the Titanic.

I read an article while I was on the road. It described "Prius Rage." One of our team members rented a Prius and I saw it firsthand. It was classed as an "exotic." Oh that is so NOT an exotic, but the constant Power Point updates about your gas mileage and battery/engine performance was interesting. You become enslaved to it and you drive like you're towing a trailer of crystal chandeliers (Prius Rage!) Like the article said, they should eliminate it on the Prius and put the Power Point on SUVs, then Prius yahoos would drive normal and maybe SUV demons would drive a little bit better. I say this because with the price of gas as it is, I've found myself driving much better. I get good gas mileage if I don't stomp on the gas and activate the turbo.

Finally, I'm only home for 8 more days before I head out to England followed immediately by Germany. Then it's Japan and I'm finally done traveling for a while. I got out of the other Japan trip at the end of the year. FantasticFest 2008 is far more important! When my travel settles and I fix my office/art room, I'll update the images/pictures. Until then, you're stuck with the unchanging crap I provide. I spoil you.
