My count was off by 27 days! I only have 160 days until my official retirement date and looking at a calendar, only 67 working days left. EEEEP! I thought I had more time! We always think that don't we? Better get busy!

I got an e-mail from Mary tonight. She worked with me when I was an exec officer up in Colorado. Ironically, I just got back from Denver the other day. Funny how things are connected like they are. Her e-mail brought back memories. Turns out she has property just 44 miles from here. Yeah, I noted the ironic distance too.

I reminded Aidan Friday that he only had 2 more days of his summer vacation left. His response? EEEEP. I taught him well. We had the Blevins over last night rocking out to Rock Band until 2:30 am. I told you that game was an addiction. None of us got up early today. Today's heavy rain put a crimp in Aidan's plans but he still had fun with his friend Justice from 2 houses down.

Big time rain too. Lots of lightning. I was on the computer and ZAP... no power. That happened twice. Second time my computer started fussing about corrupted files. EEEEP! I ran CHKDSK utilities and hoped that it fixed the problem. Damn thing went into a loop fixing and re-fixing for nearly 6 hours. Draconian Microsoft applications! Again with the irony, I purchased a 500Gb USB external disk last week and backed up the computer. It's like I knew. I also bought Connie her own laptop. It's bitching dark red in color and wireless all the way; even the mouse. I used it to figure out how to get my computer out of it's infinite CHKDSK loop. She uses it to put up vulgar secrets about me on her MYSPACE page. No, I will NOT give you that link!

Ok, maybe I'll link it to her long dormant corner. If she's nice. Real nice! ;-)
