28 Sep 2008 - 79 Movies Later... (T-123d)

Wow, that was fun and very exhausting. Not as much as last year though. I'm so glad I didn't have to rush back from an overseas inspection for the film festival. It did me in last year. All-in-all, I saw 79 films and shorts. I'll post my "reviews" on the squirrel before long. I almost feel guilty about leaving the team to cover for me. Almost. ;-)

In a week, I am gone for a month. Good thing too, I'm getting on Connie's nerves.

I'm having a tough time getting into the swing of my master's class. My final paper and presentation are sneaking up on me like Ninja Cat! (Don't you just love how cats can do that?) I think I'm just getting to old and stupid for school sometimes. Or I just don't care anymore. Still not sure if this will be worth the effort but I plod on in the hopes that "working on MBA" is enough on the old resume. Still no clue what I will be doing but I think I can sell myself into a good job somewhere. The beauty is, even a job flipping burgers still puts me at close to what I'm making now.

Not much time left at work; feels weird, like I'm fading from the team. My replacement will be here in a month. I'm looking forward to passing it all off to him. Plus I've already trained another as backup. I'm completely replaceable now. Maybe that's why I feel like I don't belong on the team anymore. Whatever. Life version 4 is almost here. Bring it on!

Created when I was in Germany, this stairwell fascinated me. The whole mirror of a mirror effect I guess.

This would make a good painting.

While I was performing an inspection in Germany, I stayed in a hotel called the "American Arms." It was built in the 1950s after the war in Wiesbaden. Despite it's age, it was well maintained and this stair well is just fun to look at. The light would catch it different ways each day. It inspired a drawing in my sketchbook.
